Hidden down a little laneway in Seminyak, the coffee here is genuinely proper.

Strong, smooth, serious.

Feels like one of those cafés that helped shape Bali’s modern coffee scene before every second shop started serving oat milk and sourdough.

Dark interiors, good energy, and consistently excellent coffee.

One of the safest picks on the island if you’re serious about your caffeine.

2. Expat. Roasters Seminyak Petitenget

This place takes coffee seriously, but without making you feel like you need a chemistry degree to order.

The beans are roasted in-house, the coffee’s consistently excellent, and the whole setup feels polished without being pretentious.

Very easy place to accidentally spend half your afternoon.

3. Suka Espresso [Ubud]

Great coffee, very solid food, and one of those cafés that just gets the balance right.

Relaxed atmosphere, reliable menu, and packed with people escaping the heat, traffic, or their own thoughts for an hour or two.

Feels very Ubud in the best way possible.

4. Livingstone

Part café, part bakery, part self-control test.

The coffee’s good, but the pastries are what usually finish people off.

Croissants, cakes, fresh bread — the whole front counter is basically a trap.

Big open space too, so it works whether you’re meeting friends or pretending to work on your laptop.

5. Kawisari Coffee Farm Shop & Eatery Bali

A café that actually leans into Indonesian coffee heritage properly instead of just using it as decoration.

Beautiful setup in Canggu with locally sourced beans and a calmer vibe than some of the louder café spots nearby.

Good place to slow down a bit and drink coffee that actually tastes like coffee.

This place has quietly become one of those Bali institutions people keep talking about after they leave the island.

You know the type:
“Mate… I still think about that burger.”

Dod’s does proper handmade gourmet burgers using premium Aussie beef, cooked fresh to order.

Very similar vibes to a Frappuccino.
